From their experiences running first-class logistics company ODTH to creating event agency Les Plumes, founders Jos and Veerle De Wael have always emphasised sharing. Read the Les Plumes story in their own words.
I’ve always been an explorer who followed his gut feeling, always with a mission and a vision. This mission and vision were shaped by my mother and grandfather. My mother taught me that sharing with others less fortunate than you was a moral duty. That’s the common thread in everything I undertake. On the one hand at ODTH by forming a community in which everyone has their place, large or small. On the other by opening up what we have in terms of infrastructure to others through Les Plumes. We give beautiful architecture and other facilities a new life. We open them up to the public, to make everyone’s fondest dreams come true. Here is where I hand over the torch to my daughter, Veerle.
Entrepreneurship was instilled in me at an early age. The sky has not always been the limit. Based on this vision, we assist our customers to turn their dreams into reality at one of Les Plumes’ locations. All these locations tell a different story, speak a different language, breathe a different history. A journey of mourning and loss can be just as good as a fairytale interpretation of a wedding or a virtuous business journey. With this, we explore a different way of facilitating: listening, shaping stories where experience and personality take precedence. In this way, I can get even closer to people, which gives me immense satisfaction. I immensely enjoy working with others and building something beautiful that way.
